Meeting Minutes – February 16th, 2026

NOTE:  These minutes are preliminary and will not be final until approved by member vote at the next club meeting. Please notify the club secretary John Russcher, via email (planeaddicted@gmail.com) of any corrections and/or errors as soon as possible. 

Call meeting to order: 7:06pm

Secretary’s Report: John Russcher

  • The October 8th 2025 meeting minutes were posted on the club website for review. A motion was made, seconded and the October 8th meeting minutes were approved by member vote.    

Treasure’s Report: Mike VanAanhold

  • Club expenditures and account balances were reviewed. This includes the general fund, field improvement fund, mower fund and geotex replacement funds. If you have any questions about any of the finances, contact treasurer Mike VanAanhold. 
  • State and Federal filings have been filed.
  • A motion was made, seconded and the treasurer’s report was approved by member vote.

Safety/Field Report – Noel Miller

  • None

Visitors and/or New Members:

  • None. 

Old Business

  • Shelter Update: The board is looking into an all-wood shelter that would have post that are bolted to the cement slab as an option to the metal tube steel structure that we discussed last fall. We will have more information on this at out spring meeting.  
  • We applied for a field improvement grant from the AMA. We expect to hear back from the AMA if we receive a grant and for how much at the end of March or early April.

New Business

  • We reviewed the 2025 finances and then reviewed the proposed budget for 2026. After a few questions a motion was made, seconded and the proposed budget for 2026 was approved by member vote.

Announcements and Events – John Russcher

  • We are working on finalizing the event list for 2026. It will be available soon.
  • The next indoor fly will be Friday, March 27th, 6:30pm to 10pm

Next Meeting

  • May at our club field, date and time to be determined.
