Flying Field Sprinklers

Please note that the sprinklers at the field are turned off at this time and should remain off.

An executive decision was made to terminate irrigation due to the low level of the pond. Current levels are down significantly from when the irrigation pipe was put into the pond. Places that were knee deep are now on the bank.

Until notice from the board irrigation of the field will be suspended.

Thank you.

Mort Smokin Over Field

Here is the set of Mort’s Edge, also a nice blue day, and again pictures thanks to my son David. Had to include the pic of Mort over runway inverted even if it did not have smoke. Also these were taken last week.

Rich Smoking Over Field

My Son David took pictures of my Yak 55M and did a very good job. We were smoking over the field with near calm winds and blue, blue sky last week. I also have pictures of Mort’s Edge on the next day, I will also prepare some of these for our page.

Safety reminder

I was reminded at the field this week that if one hears his prop hit something one should immediately check it. The flyer did not check on the problem then restarted. A piece of prop flew about 30 feet, let’s remember these things. Rich

September Cookout

A quick note that the September cookout at the field will be held on Wednesday September 5th at 6:00PM and will be a pot luck cookout.

Beverages will be supplied by the club as well as plates, napkins, and plastic ware.

Each person should bring a dish to pass that serves 6 – 8 people or more to ensure there is enough food to go around. Dishes that require refrigeration may not be a good idea if it is warm and the grill will also be available.

No signups are required and we hope to have a great turnout to the last cookout of the year.

Eating will start at 6:00 and grazing will continue to the food or the sun is gone. Hope to see you there!
