Secretary’s Report: John Russcher
- The June 9th, 2026 meeting minutes were posted on the club website for review. A motion was made, seconded and the June 9th meeting minutes were approved by member vote.
Treasure’s Report: Mike VanAanhold
- Club expenditures and account balances were reviewed. This includes the general fund, field improvement fund, mower fund and geotex replacement funds. If you have any questions about any of the finances, contact treasurer Mike VanAanhold.
- A motion was made, seconded and the treasurer’s report was approved by member vote.
Safety/Field Report – Noel Miller
- The new shelter is completed. Thank you to everybody that donated towards it and helped with the construction.
- Bob Kovac’s reminded us to make sure that we have a throttle cut set up on out transmitters. He had an incident recently where he bumped the throttle and his airplane jumped forward. Nobody was hurt but it was a good reminder to check to make sure that your throttle cut is working correctly on all of your airplanes.

Old Business
- With the shelter completed we will work on the electrical issues next. One of the two legs from the power pole to the south of the shelter is not working and the leg from the shelter to the shed is not working.
New Business
- Board members Dave Jamrog, John Russcher, Noel Miller and Mike VanAanhold are all willing to continue in each of the positions. Steve Kastens would like to step down from his VP position.
- Nominations were opened up and Russ Verbrugge volunteered for the open VP position. No other nominations were received. We will take a vote at the September 22nd membership meeting.

- Upcoming events were reviews.
- 2026 Final Streamer Combat has been rescheduled for Monday, September 14th.
- Float Fly on the Grand River, Saturday, September 5th, 10am to 2pm, Brat lunch with Chips and Pop or Water – $5. Please RSVP to Russ Verbrugge if you would like him to plan on you for the lunch.
- Wolverine Skyhawks Labor Day Fun Fly and Potluck Picnic is on Labor Day, Monday September 7th, 9am to 4pm or so. Potluck at 1pm. Bring a dish to pass and your beverage of choice. Their club will provide grilled hamburgers. Cedar Springs field,13540 West St, Cedar Springs, MI 49319. Please use this “Sign Up Genius” link that was in the email that I sent out last night.
- 6th Annual Autumn EDF Jet Rally – September 19th, 10am – 4pm
- Black Friday Indoor Fly at Zeeland Christian School, November 27th, 10am-1:30pm
- Winter Fly will be on January 2nd, 2027 at the Hat Field Airport in Nunica.
