Wedensday’s Maiden of Super Star – Rich Moore

These pictures I took just before I maddened my 26 cc gas powered Super Star, has 70 inch wingspan. Thankfully, it returned to the pits just as nice as it looked in picture. The plane flew very well, no bad tendencies and landed very smoothly. I believe I will like flying this plane during summer months, when they finally do come.

The Velox Lives!

Saturday was not only a good day for training but also a great day to maiden a plane. I am happy to report that the Velox lived to see another day. After tuning in the DLE-30 it was time to try flying it. I will admit, I was extremely nervous. However after the wheels left the ground and the plane flew as straight as an arrow with no trimming needed I knew I was alright. The 3D Hobby Shop Velox is by far the best flying airplane in my fleet. I swear it is a 10lb airplane that floats around like a foamie. I cannot wait to get out the field and fly it again. Hopefully I will be a 3D master by the end of this season!

Training has Begun!

Saturday afternoon Mike began training members Brian and Steve. It was a great afternoon of learning to pilot the open skies. Steve and Brian are catching on really quickly, and should be soloing in no time. Brian is flying Eflites Apprentice and Steve is flying EFlites J3 cub. The cub had a small accident on take off for the second flight but should be good to go with just a little bit of glue. Brian, Steve’s and a friends wife came out to cheer them on!
