Terry is probably the first one to use the field this year! I just wanted to let everyone know that the field is clear of snow and is flyable. When driving in please stay clear of the soft areas on the drive. These areas are only a problem when transitioning from winter to spring. I hope to get out and fly this weekend, do you? If so maybe see you there!
Stop the Government from Regulating our Hobby!

You may or may not know the AMA has been lobbying the FAA to stay out of our hobby. We need your help to contact our representatives and senators to pass the bill in its current form. I believe it has passed the senate but now needs to pass the house without any changes. Please do your part, follow the link and let our representatives know that our hobby does not need to be restricted by the United States Government! It only takes a few minutes of your time. The link is http://amagov.modelaircraft.org/4077/this-is-placeholder-call-to-action/ The AMA has provided a letter and when you type in your zip code your state representatives will automatically pop up. There is a letter prepared by the AMA to go to these folks to help us escape the proposed FAA altitude restrictions. Time is of the essence as there is a bill in congress right now addressing this issue before the FAA moves further forward with their proposed change.
Thanks,
The TCAF Officers

Liberty Sport Biplane with K&B .61 engine, with Spektrum Receiver, 3 digital JR – Spectrum 821’s, and futuba servos.
You add Transmitter and Fly has MPI switch Nimh battery. The plane was given me about three quarter finished, I finished the remaining construction, covering, added servos, switch, receiver, battery and engine. Being as the plane was given me, I will keep the price down to the things I have had to add and do. This plane has been trimmed and flown about six times by me, and flies well. The receiver is nearly new, not over seven flights, it is a seven channel Spektrum receiver. The engine starts easy and flies plane well. The price I am asking is $285.00. Without the receiver, $200.00. The reason I am selling these two planes is to cover the cost of my new project a 50cc Cap 232. First come made happy.

Your choice of two trainer and mild aerobatic planes. These are both Thunder Tiger Planes. One orange and one blue. The blue one I have used the last year for training flyers at our field and for my son and grandsons. It flies very well and has an OS .40 FP engine, and futuba fm receiver and servos, all relatively new. The orange one has a Thunder Tiger GP .42 engine and Airtronics FM Transmitter, receiver, and servos also I have flown this one day and it also flies fine. Asking Price is $185.00 . For any one beginning in our hobby either is a fine beginning place. Or to have just a good sport plane either would work fine for you. Either of these planes are basically ready to fly, you would need a Fm transmitter for the Blue one and that is all, for the Orange one you have a plane ready to fly now.
First Gasser Build!
Santa brought me a DLE-30 this Christmas and I finally have an airframe! I went with a http://www.3dhobbyshop.com 68″ Velox. It was a used frame that I found on http://www.rcgroups.com. The person I purchased the frame from was a member of Warped Wings in Allendale. He originally had it setup for electric but I thought this would be a perfect opportunity for my DLE-30. So far I have mounted the engine, mounted my two switches, mounted the ignition(NiMH) and power system battery (A123). Both batteries are mounted in back for CG reasons. All servos and linkages have been installed. I am using Hitec HS-7985’s, there should be plenty of torque for any maneuver that I can do or will be able to do. I still have quite a bit to do but progress is being made! Spring cannot come soon enough. I will post more pictures when I get further along. If any of you have comments or suggestions please leave a comment. Since this is my first gas engine build all are welcome!
