TCAF Events For 2011

We have decided on three events this year and it’s time to set dates and let folks know. More details to follow but we needed some initial info put out.

The first event is the Community Fly event on May 21 with a rain date of May 22. The focus of this event will be to have trainers available with buddy boxes to let folks interested in model aviation get some introductory flight time. Event will run from 9:00AM – 3:00PM.

We will need volunteers to help with pilots, spotters, safety, and sign ups so please contact Mike if you can help.

Two Fun Fly events will be held on July 16th with 17th as rain date for the first, and September 10th with 11th for rain date for the second. Information will be sent out to other clubs inviting them to join us for events like combat, limbo, spot landing and others to be determined. Pilot registration for the Fun Fly events will be $10.

Please let Mike know if you have questions or comments at tcaf_holland@yahoo.com. Hope to see you there!

Liberty Sport Biplane with K&B .61 engine, with Spektrum Receiver, 3 digital JR – Spectrum 821’s, and futuba servos.
You add Transmitter and Fly has MPI switch Nimh battery. The plane was given me about three quarter finished, I finished the remaining construction, covering, added servos, switch, receiver, battery and engine. Being as the plane was given me, I will keep the price down to the things I have had to add and do. This plane has been trimmed and flown about six times by me, and flies well. The receiver is nearly new, not over seven flights, it is a seven channel Spektrum receiver. The engine starts easy and flies plane well. The price I am asking is $285.00. Without the receiver, $200.00. The reason I am selling these two planes is to cover the cost of my new project a 50cc Cap 232. First come made happy.

Your choice of two trainer and mild aerobatic planes. These are both Thunder Tiger Planes. One orange and one blue. The blue one I have used the last year for training flyers at our field and for my son and grandsons. It flies very well and has an OS .40 FP engine, and futuba fm receiver and servos, all relatively new. The orange one has a Thunder Tiger GP .42 engine and Airtronics FM Transmitter, receiver, and servos also I have flown this one day and it also flies fine. Asking Price is $185.00 . For any one beginning in our hobby either is a fine beginning place. Or to have just a good sport plane either would work fine for you. Either of these planes are basically ready to fly, you would need a Fm transmitter for the Blue one and that is all, for the Orange one you have a plane ready to fly now.

Jerry Timmer’s New Airplane

Hi Guys,

Along with the usual winter inspections/repairs/upgrades and etc. to my fleet, I added a new plane to the hanger.

This is the Pilot RC 25% Sbach 342 in the Thunderbolt color scheme. I installed a DLE 30 with a Xoar 19×8 PJA Series Beechwood Prop and a wrap around style muffler I had from another engine. All up weight with out fuel is 10 Lbs. 14 Oz. It should have unlimited vertical. A LIFE battery (A123 type) will power the Hitec Optima 7 receiver. The engine ignition has a Rcexl Opto kill switch along with a manual shut off. This one may replace the U-Can-Do 60 as my favorite.
